Privacy Policy

Subscription Watch™ is operated by Voices for Safety. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information — your email address, used for login and renewal reminders.
  • Subscription data you enter — company names, costs, billing dates, and cancellation notes you manually provide. This data is stored under your unique user account and is never accessible to Subscription Watch™ staff or Voices for Safety — not even by user ID.
  • Document Vault files — screenshots, receipts, and other evidence you upload are stored in private, encrypted storage. No Subscription Watch™ employee, administrator, or system operator can view, open, or access the contents of your Vault documents. Access is technically restricted to your authenticated session only.
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
  • Usage data — basic analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the product. No personal identifiers are attached.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not connect to your bank account or credit cards.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties.
  • We do not use tracking pixels, ad networks, or behavioral profiling.
  • We do not read the content of websites you visit (the browser extension only reads domain names to look up community grades).
  • We do not have the ability to read your cancellation notes, view your Document Vault files, or access any of your private records — regardless of role or permission level. This is enforced technically, not just by policy.
  • We do not inspect, analyze, or process the content of files you upload to the Document Vault. Files are stored encrypted and are retrievable only by you through your authenticated session.

3. Browser Extension

The Subscription Watch™ Chrome extension detects subscription-related domains you visit in order to display community cancellation grades. It does not log your browsing history, read page content, or transmit any data beyond the company name lookup query. All lookups are authenticated with your personal token and are not linked to browsing profiles.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To operate and improve Subscription Watch™.
  • To send renewal reminders and trial-ending alerts you have opted into.
  • To aggregate anonymized community ratings (company name + cancellation score only — never linked to your identity).
  • To process your one-time payment via Stripe.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Base44. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We do not retain payment data — all payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.

Document Vault — Zero-Access Storage: Files you upload to the Document Vault are stored in private, access-controlled storage. They are not publicly accessible by URL and cannot be opened, viewed, or retrieved by anyone at Subscription Watch™ or Voices for Safety — not even by an administrator with your user ID. Temporary, expiring access links (valid for 60 seconds) are generated solely for your own authenticated session and are never logged or retained.

Cancellation Notes — User-Scoped Only: Your cancellation experience notes are stored under strict row-level security tied to your account. They are readable only by your authenticated session. No staff member, support agent, or system process can query or read your notes — this restriction is enforced at the database level, not just by internal policy.

6. Data Retention

Your account and subscription data are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Upon deletion, all personally identifiable records are permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Export your subscription data at any time from within the app.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@voicesforsafety.com.

9. Children's Privacy

Subscription Watch™ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
